What is the Old Plank Road Trail?

Everyone sees the Old Plank Road Trail (OPRT) differently. Some see it as a place for exercise, a place to jog or take a walk. Birders see it as a nature refuge with fields where they can observe dozens of different birds in one day. Bicyclists and roller-bladers see the smooth surface, gentle grades and uninterrupted straight-aways.
